The deal comprises the supply of 40 guide-U receiver systems for visiting customers and partners, and two inspiro transmitter microphones which will be used by Wolfensberger’s employee guides. The company plans to use its new guide-U systems to conduct up to two group visits of twenty people at a time.

The company used a competing tour guide solution in the past, however Wolfensberg’s team made the decision to re-source this technology after visitors experienced trouble hearing their guides in the plant’s noisier areas. 

“A steel factory can get very loud, which means that visitor comprehension can be a real issue,” Markus Schmidhauser, Wolfensberger’s general manager explained. “While our old systems struggled to meet this challenge, we realized from the very first trial of guide-U that it really cut through the noise. Our staff also found it convenient to use and a very professional solution, so after this feedback our purchasing decision was a simple one.”
